Miss Paton’s desk is across from the bench. Should Panmure Bridge students wear a uniform. By Maki

Should we wear a school uniform at Panmure Bridge School ?

I believe students should wear a uniform at Panmure Bridge School incase of an emergency and also in a bad situation.

Firstly I think we should  wear a uniform to Panmure Bridge School because if you wear your home      clothes they could get stolen or they could cause a fight. You can also get bullied from your appearance.

If your friends have something that you want, then it makes it hard for parents to keep up with clothing choices.

If you wear a uniform it saves a lot of money for your parents. If your parents are rich or poor.

Another reason you should wear a school uniform is because if you wear necklaces and bangles then they could get stolen if they are left unattended.

I believe that we should because school uniforms enable students to feel like they belong and don’t feel unwanted or left out. Uniforms promote equality.  That’s why I strongly feel that we should wear a school uniform at Panmure Bridge School.

Today Mrs Eeles  read the Red Poppy to our class. After Mrs Eeles  read  the book to us we went and

found a spot on the mat to do our freeze frames.  My favourite part was when we got into our groups and did our freeze frames. My freeze frame showed after Jim and Karl were rescued.

What would you do next time to ensure your artwork is just as good?

Not to leave any white patches.

If you were going to give this person a rating out of ten what would you give it and why? I would give her a ten out of ten because she puts a lot of effort into her work.

How many Tens

I have been learning about how many tens and  how many ones are in a number. The number that I got given was 368. In the number 368 there are 36 tens and nine ones.  

36 tens = 360

8 ones = 8

360 + 8 = 368

My Reflecting on my Andy Warhol

Reflecting on my Andy Warhol themed portrait

1. Are you pleased with your Andy Warhol themed portrait? why / why not?

I am pleased with art work because I didn’t leave any white patches.

2. What did you find easy when you created your portrait?  

  Going over in vivid  on the pencil sketched lines made the task easy.  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your portrait? -think about tracing round your face, outlining your face using a black marker pen, dabbing areas using the dye, dying the background.

Dying the little areas like my eyes.

4. Who / What helped you when you were creating your portrait?

When Miss Paton had told me the steps.

5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: tracing around your face, features on your face, dabbing the dye colours, colour choice, photograph, time management skills.

I think next time I can try not to smudge the dye colours together.

6. What frustrated you when you created your Andy Warhol themed art work? When I kept smudging the dye.

All about me

 Hi my name is Maki, I am 8 years old , I am turning 9 on Monday. I was born on March 4th. I have five sisters and two brothers, I am the second youngest. My favourite colour purple. I like to play t-ball and swimming. My favourite foods are pizza and ice-cream. My favourite movie is The Last Song. My teachers are Miss Paton and Miss Nichol. In the holidays my aunty came to visit from Australia and my sister came from Martin. We went to the pools and to the beach. This year I would like to achieve my 6,7 and 8 timetables.
